Luminaria’s Easter Brunch Brings Families Together at the Table

Specialty menu features a savory array of modern American dishes with Southwestern flair

Luxury New Mexico Hotels | Inn and Spa at Loretto

SANTA FE, N.M. – March 4, 2009 – Easter Sunday, also known as Domingo de la Resurrección, is a religious holiday that celebrates the anniversary date Jesus Christ rose from the dead. A day of celebration for many, this holiday brings friends and family together around the dinner table to share a meal and conversation. For people looking to forego the laborious meal preparations, Executive Chef Brian Cooper at the Inn and Spa at Loretto has assembled an Easter Brunch menu that brings the bounty of the harvest to the table already prepared. For guests interested in a holiday weekend getaway, Easter Weekend hotel rates are available starting at $199.

Easter Brunch Menu

A familiar face at Santa Fe’s weekly Farmer’s Market, Cooper uses fresh, local ingredients to prepare all featured dishes in Luminaria and Easter Sunday brunch is no exception. Entrées are served with family style platters of specialty breakfast breads, pastries and flavored butters created by Pastry Chef Megan Tucker, along with seasonal fruits, locally roasted agapao coffee and chilled juice. The specialty menu features an assorted selection, including five appetizers, eight entrées and four desserts, including Luminaria favorites, such as its award winning tortilla soup served tableside, huevos rancheros and pumpkin-pecan waffles with pumpkin butter and piñon maple syrup. Easter brunch specialty dishes include green chile smoked salmon, duet of smoked shrimp cocktail and oyster shooter, a roasted chicken and strawberry salad, and stuffed French toast – to highlight a few. Children attending the brunch will also receive Easter treats.

Santa Fe Easter Week

-          The Santa Fe Southern Railroad invites families to ride the rails with the Easter Bunny, Easter Weekend, for treats and a scenic ride.
