Beverly Hills Shopping Guide

Beverly Hills - lower level, Rodeo Drive

Few street names define a city as perfectly as Rodeo Drive. Not only does it exemplify the professional service and luxury that is synonymous with Beverly Hills, but it also conjures up images of world-renowned designer boutiques and first-class shopping. Anchored by approximately 65 retail outlets on Rodeo Drive and numerous specialty stores and boutiques on surrounding streets that comprise the area’s "Golden Triangle," there is no doubt that Beverly Hills is THE ultimate city for shopping.

Designer Boutiques

Christian Dior: What would Rodeo Drive be without this pre-eminent designer’s line of women’s clothing, accessories and unforgettable perfumes?

Dolce & Gabbana: For years, this Rodeo Drive mainstay has been offering one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge designs that turn heads.

Escada: In the lobby of the world-renowned Beverly Wilshire hotel lies this premiere boutique for women, offering high fashion, fragrances and accessories.

Gucci: A name and logo recognized around the world, and one of Rodeo Drive’s most popular retail establishments.

Michael Kors: One of the leading American designers of ready-to-wear sportswear, Michael Kors offers up his signature sleek and sophisticated style on Rodeo Drive.

Prada: Ultra-soft leather handbags and finely tailored suits are just a few of the luxurious items that come to mind when describing this trend-setting designer. Garnering as much attention as the designer fashions is the store itself, designed by renowned architect Rem Koolhaas. The visually stunning boutique features a virtually column-free design in the upper levels as well as an all-glass, pitched roof.

Roberto Cavalli: One of the most prestigious names in fashion, popular Italian designer Roberto Cavalli has established roots in Beverly Hills.

Valentino: Many of the stunning gowns worn by Hollywood’s most powerful women on Oscar night originate at this exclusive boutique.

Versace: Nothing typifies high fashion more than the Italian fashion house of Versace, one of the most prominent names in the world of couture.

Clothing Retailers

Women

AG Adriano Goldschmied: Designer and denim guru, Adriano Goldschmied, diligently searched flea markets and vintage clothing stores in the U.S. and Europe to develop his line of authentic, vintage-style denim jeans for women (and men). And characters from the hit HBO® series, Entourage, were the inspiration for one of the more recent collections of men’s and women’s tops and denim bottoms.

Anat B: Aren’t we always looking for that quaint, slightly off the beaten path, one-of-a-kind clothing boutique? Look no further. This fun little shop offers flirty peasant skirts, vibrant-colored tanks, comfy slacks and glittery accessories – all at a no-nonsense price.

Anthropologie: This delightful retailer features beautifully crafted clothes with a vintage flair, as well as eclectic furniture and accessories for the home.

Banana Republic: The classic, yet modern clothes at Banana Republic provide women with the perfect outfit for a day at the office or a night on the town.

Brunello Cucinelli: With an emphasis on outerwear (blazers, jackets, sweaters), Brunello Cucinelli designs seem to encourage a sportive lifestyle. Yet many of the pieces in his collections (for both men and women) are crafted with the finest cashmere, leaving one to question whether these luxurious garments shouldn’t be reserved for gentler activities.

Canyon Beachwear: Shopping for a bathing suit? Lunch with your future mother-in-law is sounding better by the minute. But with Canyon Beachwear designer swimwear (from more than 100 manufacturers and features in InStyle and People magazines), you can be sure there’s a bikini, one-piece or mix and match set that will work for you.

Etro: Looking to stand out? Head to Etro for a selection of designer clothes in distinctive prints. The third retail store of the Italian fashion house, Etro blends Bohemian and elegant styles for women. Etro also offers a line of stylish fashions for men.

Eres: With understated flair and a modern look, the swimwear available at Eres is perfect for every woman who values luxury, simplicity and refinement.

Juicy Couture: The brand that brought "glam" to the once casual jogging suit claims a spot center stage on Rodeo Drive! The line has grown and grown up since its inception, but don’t be fooled. The label’s original concept and overriding style ("classy" with a touch of "naughty") is still apparent throughout each collection including the more sophisticated Couture Couture line.

La Perla: Offering the most exclusive intimate apparel in town, La Perla carries a large selection of lingerie and undergarments, the perfect foundation for any outfit.

Lisa Kline: One of the hottest names in fashion design, Lisa Kline is now catering to her fans on SoBev in Beverly Hills.

Loro Piana: Wool merchants for almost 200 years, the Loro Piana family business has evolved from a fabric-based endeavor to a fine Italian clothing retailer, now serving clients on Rodeo Drive. Loro Piana designs are defined by their soft cashmere content and include suits, coats and the centerpiece of each collection, the finest baby cashmere sweaters available.

Maison Martin Margiela: Belgian fashion designer, Martin Margiela, has developed something of a reputation for being both unconventional and "elusive". From intricate leather vests to broad shouldered jackets and severely tapered pants, his creations are literally works of art.

Miu Miu: Miu Miu is back in LA, this time on Rodeo Drive just a few doors south of big sister, Prada. This is Miuccia Prada’s not so serious take on clothing, accessories and shoe trends with options like striped leather bowler bags, strappy ankle boots or short party dresses.

Planet Blue: Of course, Planet Blue is known for its tremendous collection of designer jeans, but don’t pass by the dresses, hats and accessories from Ella Moss, Missoni, Cynthia Vincent and Erica Davies.

Switch Boutique: Turn heads with any one of the sophisticated, yet sexy dresses, jackets, tops or pants at this sweet boutique.

Men

bijan: If an ultra-exclusive look or experience is the goal, this internationally recognized, by-appointment-only store offers the latest menswear designs.

BOSS Hugo Boss: This Beverly Hills boutique boasts the largest selection of Hugo Boss in the world with a vast selection to suit any man.

Brooks Brothers: The country’s oldest clothing retailer has brought its quality merchandise and first-class customer service to Beverly Hills. The retail institution is famous for introducing seersucker, madras, the rep tie and argyle socks to America. In addition to men’s sportswear and lifestyle clothing, this flagship store also has women’s and boy’s clothing lines.

Carroll & Company: This classic English retailer offers European and American lines for men in search of a more traditional look.

Christian Audigier – Almost overnight, designer Christian Audigier has created a sensation with his tattoo-inspired sportswear. The bold and colorful T-shirts, hoodies, bottoms and other separates have catapulted him to icon status among celebrities and athletes everywhere.

James Perse: It all started with hats and basic T-shirts and has since evolved into a California-style flagship store on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. There’s more to this James Perse store than in previous ventures – a high-end home collection including cashmere blankets and bedding, an expanded intimates and loungewear line and the boardshorts and surf T-shirts evocative of the designer’s California upbringing.

Jimmy Au's for Men 5'8" and Under: The largest designer clothing store in the U.S. for shorter men – right here in Beverly Hills. Customers enjoy great fashion that fits right by choosing from Jimmy Au’s private label collection or from other designer names including Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, DKNY and Kenneth Cole. Jimmy Au’s also features an unbelievable made-to-measure, custom order program for men, 5’5" and under.

Paul & Shark: Just like its shark logo, the Paul & Shark style is "fierce" and ready for rough and tumble pursuits. For the most part, designs have a nautical flavor and include bold rugby-style shirts, striped polo shirts in primary colors, sailing jackets and deck shoes. The brand offers men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, so all are invited onboard.

Turnbull & Asser: This London staple, home to some of the world’s finest tailors, offers its exclusive line of custom-made men’s shirts in a wide variety of colors and styles.

Vilebrequin: From the French seaside town of Saint-Tropez to the California coast and Beverly Hills, Vilebrequin produces the finest in men’s swimwear. With a commitment to comfort and quality, the retailer offers a variety of quality fabrics and vibrant color schemes.

Shoes

Belle by Sigerson Morrison: The belle of the ball has arrived in Beverly Hills (in ballet flats, no less)! The Belle footwear collection, part of the Sigerson Morrison brand, offers playful styles with a younger sensibility. Those with a shoe obsession will love the flirty flats, precocious T-straps and chunky sandals that are the signature elements of this collection.

Geox: The Geox store on Beverly Drive offers engineered footwear (in both dress and athletic styles) for men, women and children. Geox’s innovative technology incorporates a unique membrane embedded into the sole of the shoe that lets your feet breathe through the bottom of the shoe, all the while repelling external elements like rain, snow and mud. The company has since transferred this technology to apparel, now offering breathable, lightweight coats and jackets.

Jimmy Choo: Considered another castmate of most Hollywood television shows because of its starlet fan base, you’ll be sure to find the perfect pair at this exclusive shoe designer’s boutique.

Niketown: Far from just a shoe store, this one-stop shop has apparel and accessories to meet the needs of any athlete or activity.

Rene Caovilla: In what has to be the ultimate glam shoe, Rene Caovilla’s designs can best be described as "jewelry for the feet." His stunning creations, typically in metallic tones and encrusted with jewels and other shimmery accents, are perfectly paired with your wedding gown or a designer gown on the Red Carpet.

Stuart Weitzman: From casual comfort to glamorous evening wear, women slip their feet into the sexy, elegant shoe designs of Stuart Weitzman.

Children

Brooks Shoes for Children: Make sure your kids get off on the right foot each day with shoes that fit properly and look good. Unlike the mall, you’ll appreciate the personalized attention you and your children receive at this retailer.

Crib Style for Kids: While at a parent-baby bonding group, two hip moms, Amy Rose and Karen Sun, commiserated over the lack of funky, creative kids’ clothing options, especially for boys. With that, Crib Style for Kids was conceived. Now a reality, the kids’ boutique caters to both boys and girls with styles so cool that parents wish they were available in grown-up sizes.

Fashionology LA: Fashionology LA is the perfect outlet for tweens who want to add their own style to the cotton separates available in this store. Girls (typically ages 8_14) pick from tank tops, hoodies, pants and skirts available in a variety of colors, then step up to a touch screen monitor to create their own one-of-a-kind design by adding charms, jewels and trims. The computer provides a printout, the girl sits down to execute her design, and before you know it, she’s modeling her creation for the camera.

Lola et Moi: Beverly Hills is delighted to have this one-of-a-kind childrenswear line as part of its collection of distinctive SoBev boutiques on the friendly little street south of Wilshire Boulevard. The store’s interior is itself a treat for the eyes as spirographic designs splash the walls in bright pink, orange, lime green and turquoise. The fun graphics are simply a backdrop, though, for the whimsical "couture-like" fashions for little girls, ages 6 months to 12 years.

Marie-Chantal Beverly Hills: Mother of five, Marie-Chantal, seems to have accomplished the impossible. She’s designed a line of children’s clothing made from the highest quality fabrics, all the while recognizing that kids should still be allowed to be kids. Her separates for boys and girls (newborn to 12 years old) are fun, comfortable and available in playful colors and prints.

My Little Dimples: From play clothes to party dresses, My Little Dimples in Beverly Hills has every child showing off dimpled smiles in the cutest of clothes with mothers clamoring to give their child the same great look.

Oilily: With its rich textures and vivid colors and prints, this store is a favorite among fashionable kids and their moms.

Play Couture: Here’s more fun for the "tween" set at this fashion playground for girls, ages 7_16. The younger crowd will definitely scramble to this casual boutique, featuring collections from Miss Sixty, Diesel, Paul Frank and Moschino, to name just a few.

Ragg Tattoo: For pre-teens, this South Beverly Drive retailer offers designer duds, including rhinestone tanks, jeans, suits, party gowns and leather jackets for both boys and girls.

The Elegant Child of Beverly Hills: This exclusive store offers distinctive, high quality gifts for newborns to pre-teen children.

Jewelry

Breguet: Breguet, a member of the Swatch Group, is world renowned for its state-of-the-art technology and impeccable accuracy.

Cartier: High-end accessories including watches and timepieces are just some of the finely crafted items offered at Cartier.

Colette Jewelry: Born into a French-Mexican family and now based in Mexico City, Colette Steckel’s exotic designs are inspired by Mexican pre-Hispanic images and her earlier study of French art. Picture yourself in dramatic drop earrings anchored by jet black diamonds or a neckline encircled with gold chains dripping with luminous London and Swiss blue topaz teardrop gemstones.

Damiani: We all know diamonds are a girl’s best friend. That said, Sharon Stone, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow must be pretty chummy with Italian jeweler, Damiani, as all have sported luxury designs from this diamond authority. Damiani uses only conflict-free diamonds to create intricate, lacy diamond bands and contemporary, undulating designs.

David Orgell: The oldest merchant on Rodeo Drive has diverse offerings like tapestries, priceless antiques, jewelry and timepieces.

David Yurman: Jewelry designer, David Yurman, has long been known for his signature "cable" creations made from twisted, sterling silver rope patterns. His exquisite pieces light up Rodeo Drive in the space formerly occupied by Harry Winston.

Fred Leighton: A celebrity favorite, Fred Leighton designs have graced the delicate wrists and necklines of Hollywood elite including Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Jessica Parker. His vintage designs from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries are elaborate and dramatic, taking center stage at every gala and Red Carpet event.

Garrard: The pageantry of Garrard design is as evident in the dazzling jewels and settings available at Two Rodeo Drive as it is in the timeless pieces that have been created for the Royal Family since 1843.

GEARYS Beverly Hills: A Beverly Hills classic, GEARYS is the only authorized Rolex jeweler in the city. Its flagship store on Beverly Drive offers a magnificent selection of fine jewelry, tabletop and gift items, while the Rodeo Drive boutique features exclusive fine jewelry and watchmakers including Patek Philippe and Rolex.

Harry Winston: Celebrated for its rare gems and for providing celebrities with the finest jewels to complete any outfit, this retailer is known as the "jeweler to the stars."

IWC Schaffhausen: IWC Schaffhausen watches are more than just handsome. From the introduction of its compass watch and the use of titanium in the 1970s to the development of the Da Vinci Chronograph in 2007 (essentially a watch within a watch), Swiss engineering and technological advances have helped to elevate this watch manufacturer to elite status.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: With origins dating back to 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s notable achievements include the development of the world’s thinnest pocket watch movement in the early 1900s. Today, the luxury watch manufacturer continues to impress with designs like the Master Hometime limited edition timepiece, incorporating the elegance of a black dial rimmed in 18K pink gold and the ability to adjust the hour hand and date while the minute hand remains stationary.

Officine Panerai: Having initially developed precision instruments for the Royal Italian Navy during World War I, this watchmaker is an innovator and technical genius in the creation of its timepieces. Today, the retailer offers watches that are rugged, that illuminate and are water-resistant, and that simply transcend time.

Omega Watches: This legendary Swiss watchmaker carries on its cutting edge tradition with a line of Bond watches, developed in homage to the world’s smoothest operator, James Bond. A sophisticated jewelry collection for women is also available at this Rodeo Drive boutique.

Tiffany & Co.: This Rodeo Drive mainstay and internationally renowned jeweler, designer and manufacturer is known for its superior craftsmanship, luxury and, of course, the "little blue box."

Vhernier: Vhernier, founded in 1984 in Valence, Italy, has most certainly developed an unusual take on jewelry design. Each one-of-a-kind piece is defined by precious and semi-precious stones with a cool, luminescent quality and precious metals in geometric, sculptural shapes, befitting any museum of modern art.

V Vintage: If it’s vintage jewelry and accessories you’re after, V Vintage is your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Owner Jill Garland carries a little of everything at her by_appointment-only shop – Yves Saint Laurent chandelier earrings, a Christian Dior cuff bracelet, and Judith Lieber clutches, to name a few.
