Spring Greetings from the Southwest!
The robins have reappeared, bulbous flowers are in
bloom, and tiny buds are making their way out of the
tips of the trees; Spring is just around the corner as
our temperatures climb already into the seventies and
eighties. These are beautiful days for walking,
biking, hiking or getting back out into the yard or
nature.
Thank you for joining us this month, as we introduce a
new monthly yoga column. Yoga in the southwest is
extremely popular and why not! What a wonderful
place to practice a union of not only body, mind and
soul, but with nature!
Our feature this month is Beth Ames Swartz, The Word in
Paint. I was so drawn to her work when I saw it
that I knew I had to share this exhibit with our
readers. We'll take a short jaunt to the San
Ildefonso Pueblo just north of Santa Fe and over to
Scottsdale for some exciting new cuisine. Make a
patchwork quilt, and take a look at New Mexico native
David Salcido's newest photo exhibit, and I'd like to
introduce a new up and coming singer-songwriter,
Seattle-based Tamara Lewis, because her music and her
story are both so inspiring. And we'll also take a
look at southwest fashions; what works out here and why.
I hope you enjoy this month's issue.
Best regards,
