Lon's at the Hermosa Artist Brunch
November 15, 2009 Features Mosaic Artist Lydia Simcox

PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz.- Local painter and mosaic
artist Lydia Simcox will be the featured guest for an
interactive Artist Brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 15 at Lon's at The Hermosa in Paradise
Valley.
Simcox began as a young girl in the rural Midwest
creating simple pieces of art from mud clay and glass
until art became her passion. Her affinity for glass and
appreciation of nature can be seen in her paintings and
mosaics, as well as her appreciation for the environment
with her use of recycled glass and mirrors. Throughout
the morning, she will be available for one-on-one
interaction with guests.
The feast isn't only for the eyes at Lon's Artist
Brunch. Guests are in for a treat with Chef Michael
Rusconi's award-winning artful American cuisine and
savory brunch specials, which may be enjoyed on Lon's
outdoor patio with views of Camelback Mountain or in the
elegant dining room.
Lon's delectable Sunday brunch menu includes roasted
chicken and gruyere omelet, banana walnut pancakes, ahi
tuna salad with mango avocado relish and pan-roasted
beef tenderloin medallions.
Lon's welcoming and intimate atmosphere features a
ruggedly elegant dining room with wood-beamed ceilings,
vintage Western artifacts and beehive fireplaces that
accent the meandering dining space. The charming
restaurant features the artworks of the historic inn's
original owner, Lon Megargee.
