PHOENIX - Enjoy the sounds of the popular smooth
jazz artist Boney James at 7 p.m. Friday, October 9 and
rock sensation John Waite at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 10
at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.
One of the most respected and best-selling instrumental
artists, Boney James is a major force in both the worlds
of contemporary jazz and R&B with his current album,
"Send One Your Love" featuring seductive love songs. The
Grammy-nominated saxophonist will wow the audience with
his urban jazz genre of hip-hop sounds and smooth R&B at
7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 at the resort.
Lead singer for the popular bands, The Babys and Bad
English, John Waite achieved a No. 1 hit as a solo
artist with the song, "Missing You" in 1984. In 2006,
"Missing You" was released as a duet with Alison Krauss
and reached Top 40 on the country charts. Waite has
produced five solo albums since 1995 including his
latest, "Downtown: Journey of a Heart." The rock and pop
star will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the
resort.
Concert tickets for each show are $55 for general
admission and $100 for VIP featuring preferred seating
and a meet and greet with the artist. Special guest room
