Scottsdale Fashion Week
showcases the heart of Scottsdale’s retail and lifestyle
district in a high-energy series of events where
designers from across the country and around the world
converge to showcase their fashions and celebrate the
city’s vibrant fashion community. Scheduled for November
5, 6 and 7 the three-day ‘Art of Fashion’ events will
feature the Designer of the Year competition, a model
search, and Designer VIP Reception, as well as the
popular Wearable ArtWalk, runways at Scottsdale
Waterfront and Southbridge, and a Lifestyle Showcase..

Oct. 30 -
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Scottsdale Fashion Week,
Arizona’s ultimate fashion celebration scheduled for
November 5-7, has confirmed a runway line up that is
guaranteed to offer something for everyone.
The celebration kicks off on
SouthBridge with the Wearable ArtWalk Opening
Presentation and Preview Runway
Fashion Show from 6-7p.m. where models will showcase
one-of-a-kind pieces of art-to-wear clothing and
jewelry. Calvin Charles Gallery’s ‘Living Sculpture’
featuring live body painted models as sculptural fashion
is sure to be this year’s highlight. The Wearable
ArtWalk is free and takes place from 7-9p.m. in various
galleries on Main Street, Marshall Way and Stetson
Avenue in downtown Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Fashion Week Designer of the Year
October 16 -
Scottsdale Fashion Week has announced iuk iuk by Alina
Samasiuk has been named the 2009 Designer of the Year.
Siobhan by Elizabeth Albert is the 2009 People’s Choice
Award recipient. A panel of independent judges chose the
Designer of the Year, while the People’s Choice Award
was determined by a popular vote on azcentral.com.

October 6, Scottsdale, Ariz. – Scottsdale Fashion Week has
confirmed Hollywood favorite Kevan Hall will open the
Waterfront Main Runway with his Spring ‘10 collection on
November 6 at 6:00 p.m. The Scottsdale show will mark
the second time Hall’s Spring ‘10 collection will be on
the runway, coming directly on the heels of LA Fashion
Week where it will be previewed on October 17.

Designer of the Year announced
The
people’s choice finalists will be reviewed by the
judging panel and the 2009 Designer of the Year will be
announced October 16. The winner will receive his or her
own fashion show on the Scottsdale Fashion Week SouthBridge Runway on November 7 at 10:00 p.m.
October 17, 2009
10:00 am – 1:00 pm,
2:00 pm Callbacks
One lucky winner will receive a one-year modeling
contract with The Agency Arizona, Arizona’s premier
modeling agency, a free photo test, along with a spot in
a Scottsdale Fashion Week runway show. Saturday,
Scottsdale Fashion Square – Lower Level East Wing near
Anthropologie.
