Fashion Show" with SFCC Student Designers

Fashion Club Santa Fe Community College collaborated
this season with Buzz Networking ABQ in the “Art of
Fashion Show” event.
The event was held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the
Lodge, Santa Fe. A Cocktail reception kicked off the
event at 6:30, and the fashion show at 7:30 p.m.

Rachael Maestas. Guests at Art of Fashion Show browsed
through stunning fashion show collections as they
enjoyed the elegant atmosphere, top-notch entertainment,
cash bar and delightful displays of fine art, fashions,
jewelry and more.

Fashion Club SFCC was formed by students of Fashion
Design Department and Faculty of School of Arts and
Designs. Students in the fashion design program take
courses in fashion illustration, computer-aided design,
fashion design history, pattern making, garment
construction and textiles. In addition, students learn
to set up fashion design businesses from concept to
creation. Fashion design faculty members are
practicing fashion and costume designers, tailors, CAD
specialists and product designers. Their currency in the
fashion industry allows them to teach state of the art
fashion design. The SFCC design studio is a fully
equipped, professional, fashion design production house;
it is equipped with industrial sewing machines, cutting
tables and industry specific dress forms.
SFCC is the only public college in the State of New
Mexico to offer a certificate in fashion design. A
Fashion Design Club organizes trips and events for
fashion students to domestic design marts, New York,
Rome, Italy, or Paris for focused study. For more info

the road as well to The Lodge, Santa Fe.
