On Saturday, January 30th, acclaimed artist, Dolan Ellis performs at Cave Creek Coffee Company. Ellis, known as the “Arizona Balladeer” for his great baritone voice and 12-string guitar, performs cultural folk and blues music. Ellis’s accolades include a Grammy, and five hit albums, some that hit gold status. www.dolanellis.com

Rio Grande Theatre present a brand new exhibition entitled For The Love Of Color by Las Cruces’ Friendship Painters. The exhibition  will take place in both the El Paso Electric and Carolene de Mesilla Galleries, running through the entire month of January, 2010. Artist reception on January 8th, from 5 to 7pm.

Galveston

January 23
Galveston Arts Center is pleased to present Water Sparks, a thirty-year retrospective of glass and stone sculptures created by Austin-based artist Damian Priour. The exhibition will open during the January 23rd ArtWalk and remain on view through February 28, 2010. Curator Clint Willour will lead a gallery talk with the artist at 6:30 pm.
