Southwest Greetings! July is a peak summer month
here in the Southwest with much to do, visitors galore
and lots of excitement.
Our cover story this month is the celebration of the
77th Hopi Festival of Arts and Culture in Flagstaff,
Arizona. Take a moment to explore this fascinating
people and the culture they will share through this
annual event. Also appearing at the event is Hopi
fashion designer, Wendell Sakiestewa, formerly of
Arizona and now based in LA and on track to designing
for the stars. Read all about Wendell, his designs
and his passions because he was kind enough to take a
quick pause from his busy, busy schedule to share a
feature with us in conjunction with the Hopi festival.
In other realms of fashion we have new bags from Stefan
Mann, Ted Baker opens a new store in Scottsdale and as
always our featured Arizona designer.
If the July weather is heating up a bit too much for you
then follow the New Mexico trail to Chama for a cool
weekend getaway. As long as you're that far out,
drive on over to Shiprock and before you do check our
article this month on visiting this unique community.
Revive Spa, Broken Earth Naturals and Living a High
Quality Life will all help you to get into the best
body, mind and soul-state possible.
Arts and events, summer cuisine and drinks, yoga in Taos
and much more awaits you in this month's issue of
Southwest Flair Magazine! Thanks for stopping by!
