Living A High-Quality Life by Masha Ellman

Self indulge in YOU. Take time for YOU. Be selfish about YOU. Revisit YOU.

A high-quality life starts with a high-quality you. So says author, speaker and personal coach Cheryl Richardson. Years of conditioning has taught us to look outside ourselves for meaning and fulfillment. And so we desperately search for something and chase a something that cannot be found out there – ourselves.

We sit around like couch potatoes waiting for someone else to come and give us what we should be giving to ourselves. We wait for a relationship so we can feel loved. We wait for that perfect job to land in our laps so we can feel accomplished. We wait for someone else to praise us, so we can know that we can and we are good at something. We wait for someone else to buy us that bracelet, or that tool we’ve been wanting.

Along with looking outside ourselves for fulfillment, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the daily fast-paced, demanding, action-driven society we live in. Frustration, exhaustion, stress are all-too-familiar feelings that drain our energy and leave us feeling, unfulfilled and longing for something more. Take a realistic look at your life and start to take a step towards re-creating, re-evaluating and changing towards living a higher-quality life.

Only through making time for yourself can you hope to get to know yourself, grow spiritually and reach a more fulfilling and enriching life. Take - self care - off the back burner and indulge yourself in you. Make the time to honor yourself and give yourself permission to spend alone time with you. Get to know you. Love you. Appreciate you.
Praise yourself for all of your accomplishments and bless yourself and others.

I encourage you to identify and eliminate those things that are draining your energy, like learning to say NO without feeling guilty. And, I invite you to stay focused on what’s important to you. Be mindful of everything. Listen to your inner voice. Give yourself positive affirmations. I AM DESERVING. I AM WORTHY. I AM BEAUTIFUL. I AM GOOD. I AM GIVING. I AM LOVING. I AM SPECIAL…I LOVE ME.

Making the time to get to know yourself - Your desires - Your dreams - Your wants - Your needs - is not a luxury, or a selfish act but, a necessity to living your highest quality life.

Many Blessings
Masha
