Scarves by
The Kangaroo Girls
New Mexico-made scarves with pockets many in
Southwestern designs . . .
A new-woman based cottage industry doing business with a
green heart.
These scarves with pockets from Kangaroo Girls provide a
useful purpose in fashion and utility and are made
locally in New Mexico. The Kangaroo Girls is
created in the spirit that a girl (or guy) can’t have
too many pockets! They are making beautiful
scarves with pockets, of patterned fleece and other
fabrics including eco and bamboo fleece.
“Walking their talk” is an important part of the company
structure and they are interested in the sustainability
of the whole community. A locally based cottage
industry with most of the sewing circle is from Taos
County. Their lined Chennilles are sewn by
Southwest Creations, a women’s cooperative in
Albuquerque. Part of their line is eco friendly,
and all packaging is biodegradable. All materials
and supplies are purchased in U.S.A. as available.
Made in America. All of their scrap material is
donated to schools and art programs in our community.
5% of their sales go to Non-Profits that benefit women
around the world.
