NEW RESTAURANT OPENS IN CAVE CREEK

CAVE CREEK,
Ariz (March 30, 2010) – Cody’s, the much anticipated
Smokehouse & Grill opens its doors this month with at
taste of true Southwestern cuisine, expansive views of
the black mountains on the second level outdoor patio
and rustic interior with grand chandeliers, wooden
tables, rich red colored embellishments, and live
entertainment on the indoor stage. “There is an
expectation for something truly special and exciting in
the town of Cave Creek. So, it was important for us to
design a warm, regional ambiance but also deliver a
delicious and memorable dining experience” says owners,
George and Laura Duerr.
Situated at the corner of Cave Creek Road and Spur
Cross, Cody’s offers American Grille with a Southwestern
flare. Signature “C” items include street tacos
authentically prepared with carne asada, carne adovada
and pollo tropical; Sonoran Crab Cakes; Barbeque Chicken
Fiesta Salad with a blend of romaine and iceburg
lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, diced eggs, silvered
almonds, and southern style chicken tossed with honey
mustard dressing; Split roasted chicken prepared with
tortillas, corn on the cob and Mexican green rice called
Pollo Tropical; and green chile Mac & Cheese served with
a buttered baguette. For dessert, savor in a selection
of treats including a banana spit sundae, flourless
chocolate cake, fresh fruit chimichangas and Cody’s
Rustic Cobbler served with a rich blend of walnuts,
raisins, dried cranberries and Granny Smith apples a la
mode.
Other menu features include the New York Strip Steak
garnished with spicy onion jam, whipped garlic potatoes,
asparagus and habanero-lime butter; Sweet Chile Salmon
with Mexican green rice and calabacitas; Pecan Smoked
Saint Louis Style Pork Ribs prepared with sweet and
spice Coca-Cola barbeque sauce, served with potatoes and
Tidewater cole slaw, and Cody’s ½ lb. Green Chili Burger
with poblano chiles and Monterey Jack cheeses, served
with French fries.
Every Tuesday-Friday Cody’s hosts happy hour from
3:00pm-6:00pm with a FREE taco bar and, every Friday
evening, a steel drum performer will perform live on the
outdoor patio and every weekend, there will be live
music from 7:00pm-close.
Cody’s Smokehouse & Grille is the new spot in Cave Creek
for hardy cuisine, mixed drinks, signature cocktails and
margaritas, live entertainment, comedy and specialty
events. Every Tuesday night, the famed Arizona Blues
Project will perform live from 7:00pm-10:00pm, while on
Wednesday evenings, Mark Cordes known as the “Spouse
Whisperer” hosts a free live comedy show with National
touring comedians from across the country!
