Sharing his sophisticated vintage collection, Valley
fashion icon, Robert Black of Fashion by Robert Black
www.fashionbyrobertblack.com, will show off looks from
classic daywear to elegant evening wear. Guests will be
inspired by one-of-a-kind pieces from the legendary
Hollywood designers who dressed Marilyn Monroe,
Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly. Thus, uncharacteristic
of most catwalks, Valley Vintage will feature actual
designer pieces of the mid-century, not a modern
representation of classic couture.

The hand-sewn, custom swim handiwork of local designer
Monique Fagre www.moniquefagre.com will also strut its
stuff on the runway, showcasing the playful, but sleek
design of mid-century swimwear. A new line of
distinctive period pieces is specifically designed for
debut at the event.
“Down to the last detail, Valley Vintage will be a
fantastic neo-retro experience including a narrated,
circular runway fashion show, which is true to the
time,” says Veronique James, architect of the upcoming
event and principal of The James Agency. “But while our
guests soak up the authentic 1950s atmosphere they will
also be contributing to a very fitting cause. Because of
its local beneficiary, Florence Crittenton, Valley
Vintage will pave a brighter future for young women
throughout the Valley.”
The mission of Florence Crittenton www.flocrit.org is to
give safety, hope and opportunity to at-risk young
women, many of whom are overcoming issues related to
abuse and neglect. The lives of nearly 2,000 young women
across the Valley are improved by the organization each
year.
Partnering in the inaugural event are creator Veronique
James, principal of lifestyle savvy creative firm The
James Agency, the iconic Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale,
the dynamic, all-female public relations firm KWPR
Group, Inc., and the talented FORD/Robert Black modeling
agency. “While there are other high profile fashion
shows throughout the Valley, we are proud of our unique
vision for this event, as well as our commitment to
Florence Crittenton. We have no doubt that Valley
Vintage will quickly become one of the premier annual
fashion events in the Valley.”
