Scottsdale’s Boots Were Made for
ArtWalkin’ – 21st Annual “Western ArtWalk”
Coming to Downtown Scottsdale, Oct. 14, 2010, 7-9 pm

The 21st annual Western ArtWalk is set to return
Scottsdale to “West’s Most Western Town” status on
Thurs., Oct. 14, from 7 to 9 pm. The event will be
hosted by the Scottsdale Gallery Association in
conjunction with Downtown Scottsdale and sponsored in
part by Arizona Collector’s Guide.
The curious will find
plenty of live country music and cool guitar picking
spread across eight blocks of the Scottsdale Arts
District, with featured artists Mary Hoffman and Rocky
Shaw sponsored in part by True West Magazine. Free
restaurant samplings, fun prize giveaways and other
special doings can be found along the ArtWalk route as
well.

The Western
ArtWalk is held each Fall during the Phoenix Art
Museum’s Cowboy Artists of America Show. Many
famed “CA” artists have works on display at
featured Scottsdale galleries and have been
known to join fans and collectors at the Western
ArtWalk. Some art lovers take the opportunity to
get totally duded up for strolling in spurs,
bolo ties and Stetsons. |
Well, sir, you can find Scottsdale ArtWalk along Main
Street, just west of Scottsdale Road, and along Marshall
Way north and south of Indian School Road up to Stetson
Drive and ARTScene at the Waterfront. There are plenty
of nearby free parking areas, and easy access to local
hotels or famed Scottsdale eateries via Scottsdale
Trolleys or horse-drawn carriages. A calendar of
