One of the more popular offerings of the holiday season,
the Mesilla Valley Chorale--under the direction of Nancy
Ritchey--presents its annual holiday concert, this year
entitled Believe based on the popular song from
The Polar Express. The Rio Grande
Theatre is located at 211 N. Downtown Mall, in Las
Cruces. Showtime is 3pm, doors open at 2:30pm. Tickets
are $10.

- Lincoln County Community Theater Production
"Christmas Briefs: A Night of One Act Plays" is the
latest offering from Lincoln County Community Theater.
Performances of the dinner theater production are Dec. 2
- 4 and 9 - 11 at Cree Meadows Country Club, 301 Country
Club Rd. Tickets are $27.50. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.
with the performance following.
Six short plays make up the program. "One Day in the
Life of a Christmas Present" follows the journey of a
re-gifted present. "The Christmas Truce" recalls the
spontaneous truce between English and German troops in
the trenches during World War I. In "Quiet Please, Can’t
You See We’re Acting?" two actors compete with the side
commentary of three noisy audience members.
Ruidoso writer Lyn Kidder presents three 10-minute
plays. "Halftime" explores a couple’s less-than-perfect
dream of Florida retirement. In "Sisters," two
half-sisters meet in an upscale coffee shop to discuss
an upcoming surprise birthday party. "Innkeeper" finds
the Bethlehem hotel owner reliving what may be the most

Christmas Eve Canyon Road Farolito Walk
Starts around dusk on Friday, December 24
This beloved holiday tradition delights all who walk
Canyon Road, which is decorated with farolitos (small,
sand-filled bags with votive candles) and luminarios
(bonfires). The joyous sounds of carols and friends and

Dec. 5 - In the Pastry
Shop: Children's Cookie Class
Sweet Treat. Pastry Chef David Collier knows how to make
a festive holiday cookie, and he'll help you ring in the
season at the Mansion's children's cookie class. Open
for children aged 7 to 13, they'll learn how to prepare,
decorate and show off their tasty treats in a pretty
package.
Children go home with a dozen cookies, an apron and a
new set of skills, and parents get to sip champagne
while the kiddos do all the work.

Holiday Help. Just in time for the holidays, join the
Mansion Restaurant's Executive Chef Bruno Davaillon at
Central Market for tips on how to shop for and prepare a
holiday meal fit for the in-laws. Chef Bruno pairs with
Director of Catering Terry Shields to teach you Mansion
hints and tricks you can implement in your own home.
The experience starts at the Mansion with a small
reception with Chef Bruno, followed by a group shopping
trip, demo and tasting at Central Market, and you'll end
back at the Mansion.
