Though all who
participated in Scottsdale Fashion Week 2010 (November 4
-6) shone like stars, we have elected to bring you a few
of the highlights from last month's show.
First up is local
designer Angela Johnson and her new Spring 2011 “Haute
for Teacher” line.
This line was released at Scottsdale Fashion Week on
November 5th. A video is soon to follow. Says,
Johnson, "It turned out to be one of my favorite shows!
There was so much energy in the audience and backstage.
It was complete with a naughty student sitting at his
desk being scolded by the sexiest teachers ever…all
accompanied by Van Halen’s Hot for Teacher."

Johnson was a big part of helping to coordinate SFW this
year. She coordinated the 300 participant Community
Night event as well as the Educational Forum. "It was
the most work I’ve ever done for any fashion event and
took about six months and I’m really proud of how
amazing it turned out," said Johnson of her

Angela Johnson is a local fashion designer and Fashion
Design Instructor at Mesa Community College. She is
currently featured in the new book, Eco-Fashion, by Sass
Brown and is nominated for Best Local Designer in
Arizona Foothills Magazine. Johnson is also a
Board Member of Fashion Group International – AZ Region
Scottsdale Fashion Week.
