Letter from the Editor

Seasons Greetings and welcome to our December
2010 Holiday Issue!
Before we get to all the
goodies this month, I would like to give a big thank you
to all of our contributors, without whose contributions,
we would be far less than what we are. A big
holiday thank you to Kimberly Hastings of Westcor,
Canyon Records, Kent Whipple of Meyers East Gallery,
Lindsey Bridges of Bridges Media, Patty Shannon of
Mullen PR, Katie Malark of Allison & Partners for
Scottsdale Fashion Week, Angela Johnson, Gail McCauley
of Arizona Model and Actor Management, the staff and
students in the fashion department at Santa Fe Community
College, all of the wonderful designers featured this
year including Celeste Sotola of Montana Dreamwear,
Patricia Michaels of PM Waterlily, Wendell Sakiestewa,
Victor Ortiz; thanks also to Tish Agoyo of NDN Star, Tailinh Agoyo
of SWAIA, Monique Parker of UNM-Taos, Everyday
Southwest, Michele Mountain and the Museum of
Northern Arizona, Steve Cantrell and the staff at
the New Mexico Museum of Art, the New Mexico
Tourism Department, David Salcido and the Doņa
Ana Arts Council, and many others.
These are just some of the wonderful people and
organizations that assist in the creation of Southwest
Flair Magazine.
Thank you to everyone for helping us to create our
beautiful magazine, particularly to those of you who
work diligently with me, month-in, month-out! You
and your efforts are much appreciated.
This month's feature is a
follow up on Scottsdale Fashion Week featuring a look at
designs from Angela Johnson, models from AMAM and pieces
from designer of the year, Rebecca Turley. We have
a celebrity fashion experience in Dallas, FGI Arizona's
Spring 2011 Fashion Fever preview show, Holiday
Dressing, Tribal Art & Clothing, news and updates from
Fashion Square in Scottsdale, and plenty of Southwest
gift and shopping ideas to help you add a little
southwest flair to your holidays, including shopping
through our very own online country store here at
Southwest Flair!
Spas and herbal baths
will help you to relax or rejuvenate during this hectic
season and a trip to the Pecos offers the beautiful
lights of the river holiday light show, now in its 19th
year.
Cuisine is scrumptious
this month with recipes from the gals at Everyday
Southwest featuring holiday side dishes you won't
want to skip; learn to cook with chocolate at the
Vintage House Restaurant; we'll follow the new
New Mexico Culinary Trail and take a peek at Sassi's new
chef, Christopher Nicosia.
Arts and Events are
outstanding this month with everything from The
Nutcracker in Santa Fe to the Michael Workman
opening, holiday musicals, cooking classes; oh, too much
to name, so be sure to visit the arts calendar.
I would also like to
announce that after the first of the year, we will be
relocating our offices to Santa Fe and look forward to
working with everyone there as we continue to bring our
monthly issues full of even more southwest flair to our
readers everywhere. Watch for an exciting winter
and spring once we get settled in the City Different!
Thanks for reading this
month and all year!
Happy Holidays!
