Mesilla Valley Musical Arts
Presents the Return of the Amazing Magical Musical
Adventure - Saturday, December 11, 2010

(LAS CRUCES) - Mesilla Valley Musical Arts (MVMA)
welcomes the opportunity to celebrate family and the
joys of the holiday season with the return of Amazing
Magical Musical Adventure to the Black Box Theatre this
December. Based on the beautiful holiday classic, Why
The Bells Rang, by Raymond Macdonald Alden, this unique
performance is a tale that reinforces the concept that
the size of the gift is far less important than the
spirit in which it is given. December’s Amazing Magical
Musical Adventure will warm cockles at the Black Box
Theatre on December 11, 2010.
Told through music, narration and simple acting, Why The
Bells Rang is a heartwarming tale about two young boys
whose Christmas Eve turns out rather differently than
planned, when a trip to a wonderful church in a great
city becomes a test of sacrifice and faith resulting in
a unique blessing brought about by unselfish generosity.
Presented in partnership with the Black Box Theatre,
Amazing Magical Musical Adventures presents
family-friendly arts programming well suited for
children ages 3 to 10, but appropriate for the entire
family.
Mesilla Valley Musical Arts is a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing a variety of high-quality musical
performances to the community, particularly the
under-served, and making innovative music education
options available in Las Cruces and beyond. The Black
Box Theatre is located at 430 N. Main St., in Las
Cruces, on the North end of the Downtown Mall. Showtimes
are 2pm and 4pm. Admission is $5. Advance reservations
are recommended by calling (575) 523-1223. For more
