Daily Energizing Principles
by Masha Gitel Ellman

“Every day

is a birthday;

every moment of it

is new to us;

we are born again

renewed for fresh

work and endeavour.”

Isaac Watts

No matter what kind of day you’re having whether at work or at play, keep a positive energy that will revitalize you mentally, recharge your physical body, and restore your spirit.

Breathe – Pause. Take a break. Pay attention to your breath as you inhale deeply through your nose and release slowly through your mouth. Repeat. Expand your lungs and take in a few really deep energizing breaths throughout the day.

Affirmations – Throughout the day give yourself positive affirmations. Buy a small book of affirmations and keep it with you. Read a positive affirmation when out to lunch. Write an affirmation on a sticky note and place it on your computer monitor. Send yourself an affirmation email. Affirming things like goodness, love, and health will lift your spirit and instill confidence.

Smile – Put on a smile on your face. You cannot feel sad if you have a smile on your face. Fill yourself with happy thoughts throughout the day, thoughts that make you smile. Smile even while you’re talking on the phone. The tone of your voice will lighten and you’ll make a much better impression. You can almost hear a smile over the phone. Even the slightest, small, unnoticeable smile will alter your mood. Remember a smile is contagious. Pass it on.

Expectation – Expect good every day and good will fill your every day. Pass that goodness along to others.

I hope that these few basic principles will get you started and on your way to getting energized, boosting your self confidence, getting inspired to get involved in your life, and helping to center you throughout the day for a more peaceful, perfect, loving – you.
