Hidden
Treasure in the Mountains North of Santa Fe Valued at
More than $1 Million
Author Forrest Fenn and the Inn and Spa at Loretto
invite guests on a treasure hunt to the Land of
Enchantment

SANTA FE, N.M. – Santa Fe, known as the Land of
Enchantment for its culture, art, history and cuisine
now adds a new lure to its mesmerizing repertoire –
treasure. Somewhere in the mountains north of Santa Fe,
NM, a bronze treasure chest filled with gold, jewels and
other treasures is hidden. In his latest book, The
Thrill of the Chase: A Memoir, author and former Fenn
Gallery owner, Forrest Fenn, gives readers the clues
needed to unlock the secret of the treasure’s location.
For many, the adventure will begin at the Inn and Spa at
Loretto, the exclusive hotel partner, where guests can
book the Thrill of the Chase package and embark on a
scavenger hunt inspired by the author himself. The
package, starting at $320, includes hotel accommodations
for two nights, a scavenger hunt, an autographed book,
and a golden nuggets dessert turndown. Guests that book
this package will be automatically entered into a June
and December drawing for a chance to win a mini treasure
chest filled with collector coins. The Inn will also
offer a Thrill of the Chase signature cocktail in the
Living Room, $10. The package and signature cocktail are
available now through Dec. 31, 2011.
Fenn’s pursuit for adventure, passion, and
self-discovery shaped him into the person he is today.
And through his book, he hopes to awaken the reader’s
sense of adventure and entice them to Santa Fe to
experience the thrill of the chase. According to Fenn,
“This memoir includes a true story about a secret
treasure and an outrageous dare. Unlock the clues that
are scattered among these pages and you can go home with
a bronze chest that is so full of gold and precious
jewelry that it’s almost too heavy for one person to
carry.” The intrinsic virtue of this dare is that anyone
can get lucky.
