There is something different about taking a trip to the Southwest in
August, a feel in the air. Summer is winding down, school is
starting and depending on where you go, the crowds are thinning.
Fall is just around the corner, there seems to be an extra crispness
about, nights may be a little cooler.
An August trip, especially
late August entices anyone needing some time away or an excuse to
cure the end of summer restlessness, or if going to the high
country, the best way to beat the scorching heat beating down on
other areas of the US.
If solitude isn’t for you, one idea might be a girlfriend getaway.
Many first-rate facilities offer packages designed just for you and
a friend or group of friends. Whether you fancy hiking or
mountain-biking, a day at the spa and world-class shopping. Colorado
has something for everyone to enjoy. |
