If you are a woman and you are interested
in yoga, then chances are you are also interested in enhancing your
natural beauty. First let’s define what is meant by the term natural
beauty.
As women and society evolved from the plasticity of the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s
and ‘80s, we have moved into the realm of a more natural sync, a
down-to-earth appeal started with the hippies of the ‘60s who have now
aged and moved into their own time and place. The new millennium finds
us striving to protect our planet, wildlife and resources, while we
search for healthful ways to eat and live. We only have to watch an old
tv sit com to see where we have been: sprays, false eyelashes, wigs,
girdles, bright red lipsticks, you name it, we wore it. Today’s woman is
more subdued, relaxed and comfortable.
Natural Beauty is the essence of your inner self materializing outwardly
through the use of yoga, diet, exercise, natural products and
techniques. It is the inner as well as the outer. Many beauty products
are ridden with chemicals harmful to both our bodies and the environment
so finding the way to natural beauty is the natural step to take.
How to begin? Finding the path to natural
beauty requires a little commitment and the desire to open your true
inner self. Granted we still have to remain presentable to our job, our
boss, our employees, our |

community, but we can do so in a way that not only allows us to shine as women and
as individuals, but will also spread a light to others to do so as well.
Yoga, You and Natural Beauty will assist you in stepping onto the path
to wholesome natural beauty, no matter what your age, your status or
your budget. |
Years ago when I was a student in fashion
college, we weren’t taught to run to the mall to purchase the newest products at
the cosmetic counter or to buy the latest fashions that were on the runway
(although we were modeling them!), no we were taught the secrets of the
industry. We were taught to bring forth our own inner beauty, to economize, not
to be industry consumers but to be self-sufficient so that in a pinch we were in
control of our appearance, we would be able to handle any situation that arose
with confidence, success and ease. In other words we were taught not to rely
upon the industry for our beauty needs but rather on ourselves. How to take care
of and deal with our own needs. We had to be natural beauties because all eyes
were upon us. There was no room for false beauty because we had to be beautiful
all day and night. When we went out into the community we represented our school
and our agency. We were taught integrity.
Same with being a skin care consultant. I not only had to look the part, I had
to live the part, so it was imperative that I be as beautiful as possible at all
times in order to encourage others. As a skin care consultant, I learned the
secrets to facials, creams, healthy skin, hair and nails. With yoga I have
learned the way to bring our inner beauty out through movement, meditation,
relaxation, breathing, healthcare and diet. It is the combination of this
knowledge; these methods, secrets and techniques, that have evolved into Yoga,
You and Natural Beauty.
