New "Patio Pedis" at
the Hermosa Inn Pamper Guests in Privacy

|
PARADISE VALLEY,
Ariz. - Starting in Fall 2007, guests of the
legendary Hermosa Inn in Arizona’s Sonoran
Desert can have their feet coddled, soothed and
beautified right in the comfort of their own
private patio. The intimate hideaway brings
“Patio Pedis” and combination “Mani/Pedis” to
the guest for the ultimate in relaxation.
Designed to restore and rejuvenate our often
over-looked feet, "Patio Pedis” include a warm
paraffin treatment, exfoliating foot treatment
and a relaxing foot massage. Another “Patio
Pedi” is designed for tired, swollen or
sensitive legs including a gentle exfoliation
and an application of cooling gel. Or, a
combination of hand and feet "mani/pedis" in the
guest’s private patio revitalizes and helps
relieve stress by releasing energy blockage in
vital points to encourage deep relaxation and
leave the skin feeling soft and supple.

Each of the
Hermosa Inn’s 35 guest accommodations is
uniquely decorated in genuine Southwestern style
and offers its own distinctive personality.
Authentic architectural and design elements
include adobe brick construction, wood beams,
beehive fireplaces (in most rooms), mesquite
doors, hand-painted Mexican tile and unique
decorative accents. Megargee’s own works of art
adorn the walls along with photographs of the
artist himself. While
no two Casitas are alike, features include
separate sitting areas with fireplaces,
wood-beamed vaulted ceilings, skylights,
shutters, wet bars, and a courtyard patio with a
semi-private whirlpool spa. Furniture, decorator
touches and colors reflect the inn’s rich
Arizona heritage. Walkways of desert gardens,
flower-lined stone paths, and picturesque lawn
lead to individual private patios offer garden
and desert views and some offer outdoor
wood-burning fireplaces, stone fountains and
wrought-iron chimaeras.

Originally built in 1935
as a private residence and studio by one of Arizona’s
most colorful local “legends,” cowboy artist Lon
Megargee, The Hermosa Inn was painstakingly restored by
owners Fred and Jennifer Unger, who purchased the
property in 1992. Today this historic landmark charms
its guests as an elegant retreat for business and
pleasure. With individually decorated accommodations
that faithfully reflect the romance of the old
southwest, while surrounded with every modern comfort,
it is a winning combination that has earned the inn a
loyal guest following, widespread critical acclaim, and
membership in the distinguished Historic Hotels of
America. It enjoys an enviable location on six stunning
acres overlooking Camelback Mountain in the exclusive
residential enclave of Paradise Valley, surrounded by
some of the most spectacular desert scenery in Arizona.
