Armitage at DC Ranch Offers Tempting New Tastes
Scottsdale,
AZ – Armitage Bistro at DC
Ranch will begin offering lunch and Sunday brunch
beginning on September 2. Guests to the restaurant
will enjoy the new menu items in vibrant
surroundings at the newly renovated and expanded
bistro.
After celebrating the
4 year anniversary of Armitage Bistro in June, Matt
Ronnfeldt and family, who own The Armitage Group,
felt that it was time to give the restaurant a
makeover.
Responding to the needs in the
North Scottsdale area, the family began
construction to enlarge the kitchen thus creating
the opportunity to offer lunch and Sunday brunch
from the bistro that previously served only as a
dinner and late-night wine spot.
“Our family thinks of
wine as ‘comfort food’ and we wanted our dishes to
reflect that. Our goal in expanding the kitchen was
to be able to more completely share our vision for
Armitage with our guests – by offering more variety
and unique choices for lunch, dinner and even Sunday
brunch,” says Matt.
Executive Chef
Christian Hanley, who also oversees the kitchen at
the Tucson location, is looking
forward to introducing the new dishes to Scottsdale.
Salads, sandwiches and various entrées will find a
home on the updated Armitage menu. Some of the new
dishes include:
Cobb Salad,
a straight-forward rendition with
chicken, bacon, cucumber, gorgonzola, hardboiled egg
and tomato and garlic relish;
Ahi Tuna Slider,
4 oz. of blackened tuna served over Asian slaw, lime
juice and fresh cilantro wrapped in a potato roll
and accompanied by Ponzu tartar sauce; and
Farcito Pollo,
a Boursin and spinach stuffed chicken breast served
over roasted tomatoes and asparagus and topped with
a honey balsamic reduction.
For brunch,
Armitage Tucson’s most popular Sunday morning
item – Armitage
Benedict - is making its debut in
Scottsdale. This delicious dish is two poached eggs
served over sliced prosciutto, asparagus and melted
Havarti cheese, presented on a piece of grilled
Asiago sourdough and smothered with Armitage
Hollandaise sauce.
The recently remodeled
dining area provides an even more comfortable space
for enjoying all of Armitage’s offerings. New
banquette seating is perfect for accommodating large
or small parties, while 2 plasma TVs have replaced
older televisions at the bar. To make the most of
the outdoor space at Armitage, the patio was also
extended.
“After four years, we
needed to give Armitage a little love. Our new
dining room will allow our guests to have an overall
better dining experience,” says Matt.
Armitage Bistro will
be open for lunch and Sunday brunch starting on
September 2, Monday – Saturday at
11am; and Sundays at 10 am. Brunch served until 2
pm. The Armitage kitchen is open until midnight,
offering nightly wine and cocktail specials and late
night bites.
