October Greetings! October
is my favorite month of the year and I am excited to
bring this month's issue to you. Our first stop is
the Kris Kristofferson tour in southern California.
He spends a lot of time touring the UK and Europe these
days so it is really great to have him so close to home
and we wanted to let you know to be sure not to miss
this tour; a solo performance, what a treat! I
have seen him several times; the smaller the venue, the
better!
Next stop is some great
shopping in Denver and Colorado Springs and what better,
more beautiful month for it than October. Our yoga
expert, Paul Jerard, tells us how to find peace of mind
this month and every month through yoga practice.
Don't miss this article because these are valuable tips,
especially with the holidays just around the corner.
We're profiling Margie Emermann this month, Arizona's
State Director of Tourism and her outstanding
achievement and national award. Congrats to
Margie!
We also have some
tempting foods, a harvest vegetarian dinner and a new
dining guide for Phoenix. Last year's afghan
article was so popular that we decided to do a follow
up. Find out how one reader crocheted her way to
bliss. Another guitarist
we have this month is Brent Gunter who is returning to
Albuquerque to do a special fundraiser to help with
guitar programs in local schools. In Chandler
Arizona, Rawhide at Wild horse Pass is celebrating
Halloween wild west style with its annual Doomtown
featuring headless horsemen, ghost riders and even a
train of terror. Not to be missed! We have a
Halloween fashion show at the Canal in Scottsdale, wine
festival, Oktoberfest in New Mexico, and lots more, so
please enjoy this month's issue of Southwest Flair and
thanks for reading!
