New Restaurants in Santa Fe
The Culinary Arts in
Santa Fe are as varied and unique as Santa Fe
itself. The newest additions to the restaurant elite
range from organic tea houses to a Mark
Miller-inspired treasure.
Enjoy an organic tea and vegetarian lunch made from
local seasonal ingredients at the Green Palace
Teahouse, located at 209 E. Palace Avenue.
If you're craving something different, give
Restaurant Mauka a try. Chef Joel Coleman's
innovative cuisine features organic local
ingredients paired with fresh fish, flown in from
Hawaii, in a fusion of Hawaiian and Asian flavors.
Mauka is located at 544 Agua Fria Road, near
Sanbusco Shopping Center.
Terra Restaurant will be opening soon at the
Encantado Resort, and will feature Modern Rustic
Cuisine, in an intimate setting with mountain views.
Encantado Resort is located at 198 State Road 592,
just past the Village of Tesuque.
The owners of La Boca, Chef James Campbell Caruso
and Pastry Chef Leslie Campbell, have opened
Delicasa, a European style deli/bakery/coffee shop,
which will feature fresh, madeto-order subs, panini,
salads and pastries. Delicasa is located in the
Plaza del Sol Shopping Center at 720 Saint Michael's
Drive.
Sunrise Springs Resort and Spa has opened the Lotus
Champagne Bar. Dine al fresco under age-old
cottonwood trees, overlooking spring-fed ponds. The
Lotus has a selection of more than 30 champagnes and
sparkling wines, in addition to a full bar.
Executive Chef Eric Laslow has created a special
menu of made-to-order ceviches sure to please any
palate. Sunrise Springs Resort Spa is located 10
minutes south of Santa Fe at 242 Los Pinos Road.
Coming soon will be the many food and beverage
choices at Buffalo Thunder Resort. There will be a
coffee house, buffet, grill, the Mica Restaurant and
the crown jewel, Mark Miller's Red Sage Restaurant.
The Red Sage will feature a bar, outdoor seating and
private dining rooms. Chef Miller and his
restaurants have been recognized with national
acclaim and received many awards. Buffalo Thunder
Resort is located about 15 minutes north of Santa Fe
at 18 Buffalo Trail.
