Lake Havasu City - 25th Annual Boat Parade of Lights
The 25th Annual Boat Parade of Lights takes place
this year December 7 and 8. Scores of brilliantly lit
vessels will make their way beneath the London Bridge,
through the Bridgewater Channel and past the English
Village, itself decorated in over one million Christmas
Lights by the London Bridge Resort. Previous year’s
winners include one entry with animated Toy Soldiers
made of Christmas lights, Santa’s Toy Train, A classic
Chevy with animated wheels, and a strand of one dozen
sail boats covered in twinkling Christmas lights. Not
only did the boats make their way in formation through
the channel, but even impressed parade-goers by doing
figure-eights in the channel. The Parade has also been
named by the American Bus Association as a top 100 event
in the country, and received a Governor’s Award for best
special event.
