At the pinnacle of the resort is Joya Spa, a Moroccan-inspired journey to purify the mind, body and soul. The spacious, two-story, 31,000-square-foot spa features 19 treatment rooms, five luxuriously-appointed treatment suites, 5,200 square feet of outdoor space including a rooftop pool and terrace as well as men’s, women’s and co-ed quiet and social lounges. Joya Spa also features Arizona’s only modern interpretation of a traditional Hammam.

The Joya Spa journey begins upon check-in where guests are presented with five different jewels representing love, wealth, work, health and family, setting the intention for their visit. Inside the spa, guests will happen upon the “Joy of Purification” quartz crystal, where stress and negativity leaves the body to ensure the most relaxing purification experience for the mind, body and spirit.

Guests may also begin their spa journey with a 25-minute Hammam-style therapy. During this process, guests will relax in a warm room on a heated platform, followed by a scrub and utter relaxation in a steam room to further detox the body. A cool waterfall and whirlpool completes the experience.

Signature treatments feature full customization. From 50-minute treatments to full-day Journeys and customized Rituals, Joya Spa uniquely customizes each experience to soothe, relax and rejuvenate the mind and body. Moroccan-inspired skin and body treatments, mineral and clay wraps, Henna tattooing, Lip Print Reading, “For Him” services and body treatments at Joya Spa represent a modern, creative interpretation of old world treatments not found at other spas in the region.

Joya Spa also features an exclusive signature scent, Joyambrosia, which is infused in the signature spa line and diffused throughout the spa’s treatment rooms. The spa team partnered with a local, Phoenix-based organic alchemist to create a formula of pure aromatherapy oils from fruits, spices, and flowers to support the spa’s luxurious and exotic atmosphere of magic and mystery, as well as reflect their firm commitment to a “green” lifestyle and sustainability.

Joyambrosia was then infused into Joya’s “Layla & Qays” signature organic body product line and combined with gemstone essences of diamond, sapphire, and gold, and a proprietary blend of flower essences, including a rare night-blooming flower that resides in the spa arrival courtyard.

Joya Fitness is open to guests and members 24 hours a day and offers a state-of-the-art Technogym-equipped fitness center overlooking Camelback Mountain and the rural desert, creating a breathtaking backdrop to work up a sweat. Sunrise yoga and sunset spinning on the open-air terrace provide a picturesque start or end to a well-balanced day.

The Kasbah Pool lies in the very heart of paradise at Montelucia Resort & Spa, where guests can relax poolside and take advantage of spacious seating areas, cabanas, lounge area, a restaurant and chilled drinks from the bar, amongst magnificent views of Camelback Mountain.

Hidden amongst soaring palms and lush resort grounds, the Oasis Pool is a peaceful poolside experience, inspired by the Old World, and features direct views of Camelback Mountain. Guests can retreat in the shade of poolside cabanas and refresh in the sun-kissed pool and soothing spa.

Joya Terrace Pool, the private rooftop pool of Joya Spa, overlooks spectacular views of the property with backdrops of Camelback Mountain. Guests can retreat from the sun and enjoy a private massage in one of the luxurious Joya Spa suites.
