TRACKS ON THE NATIONAL DRAG RACE CIRCUIT
Las Vegas’s own Sandy Kastel (www.SandyKastel.com) is making waves
across the country and cyberspace with her smoky rendition of
“Beyond The Sea” which lit up the Top 40 Adult Contemporary Chart
this week. Jumping to #31, “Beyond The Sea” is the first single from
Sandy’s debut album This Time Around set to be released nationwide
in May. Sandy is surrounded on the ACQB Chart by superstars such as
Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, The Fray and John Mayer.
Kastel has been promoting her upcoming album This Time Around at
major race tracks around the country, through her sponsorship of 3
time NHRA champion race car driver David Rampy. Look for Sandy’s
picture and logo on Rampy’s trailer, car, and uniform, as he
competes on the National Drag Race Circuit. Kastel along with David
Rampy and his top-performing cars will also visit Children’s Miracle
Network Hospitals in select cities along the NHRA route.
Kastel also just wrapped filming a Direct Response TV spot in Las
Vegas with none other than Legendary TV Host Robin Leach, of
“Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous”. Mr. Leach appeared to promote
the fact that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the album
benefits Children's Miracle Network (www.cmn.org). This TV spot is
in support of Kastel’s upcoming album This Time Around which
features her renditions of standard classic originals recorded by
legends such as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Wayne Newton, Peggy Lee,
Johnny Mathis, Dinah Washington/Celine Dion and Judy Garland.
Kastel's father, renowned saxophone player Dick Kastel, who has
worked with everyone from Henry Mancini and Michel Legrand to
Sinatra, Liza Minelli, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, Shirley
MacLaine, Juliet Prowse and Ann Margret also made an appearance in
the video along with a 25-piece big band.
