Contributor Guidelines
Southwest Flair assumes no responsibility for unsolicited manuscripts,
photographs or artwork. Unsolicited material must be accompanied by a
self-addressed, stamped envelope to ensure its return.
Image Requirements
Southwest Flair prefers to work with digital jpg.s for publication. 640 x 480
pixels for review. For publication or editing, a larger image may be required at
1024 x 768 if we are unable to work with the smaller version. Please email your
submissions.
Credit Labels
Your name and address should appear on all submissions. Your name should appear
exactly as you wish it to be spelled for photo credits.
Captions
Captions should include all information relevant to the content with some
detail.
Model Releases and Photo Permits
The Model Releases must be obtained by the Photographer if close-ups of people
or artwork are submitted.
Pay Rates are by advertising trade

Southwest Flair covers the fashion, home, landscape, cuisine, travel, health and
beauty, events and
arts of the Southwest for a female readership living in, or desiring to live in,
the Southwestern US.
Monthly magazine, one-time rights for photos and articles. Query first.
Plans issue 1 - 2 months in advance.
Articles
Profile/Feature, travel, archaeological, historical, Southwest lifestyles (food,
fashion, homes, gardens), health and beauty, arts and crafts, cultural topics, photo features,
anything relating to life in the Southwest US.

If you would like to submit a book or music CD for review, please send a hard
copy to the address below.
Style
AP style Type name, address (including E-mail) and phone number in the upper
left corner of correspondence and manuscript. Prefer text submission pasted into
body of email.
Please include a tag line and a small photo, a short paragraph about yourself
and your experience for the end of the story. Identifies you to the reader.
